Day thirteen: pomodoro

October 8, 2015

I love to think about time in tomatoes and scheduling my tasks in small bits of 25 minutes. That’s why I decided to build my own Pomodoro timer!

If you have never heard of this technique. Read this article about it first.

When the timer runs out. The user can start over with a new task or take a well deserved break.

Playing around with Meteor’s reactivity and combining it with the power of Pomodoro. That was a bit of a challenge. Making sure the Pomodoro starts on every connected client was the biggest problem. However, this was solved by adding a countdown field on the user document. Whenever the user starts a new Pomodoro. The countdown is reset and every client will see the freshly created tomato!

Building this app was a bit tough at times but I love a challenge! Please leave a star on the repo and let me know what you think.
